Switching questions

Do I need to switch slowly within the same brand?

Yes, it's still a good idea. Different recipes have different proteins, fat and fiber, even from the same brand.

What if my pet picks out the old food?

Mix the two foods well, and add a spoon of warm water to blend the smell. Give it a couple of days before moving to the next step.

Can I switch cold turkey?

Only if your vet tells you to, for example for a medical diet. Otherwise a sudden change often causes loose stools or gas.

What if my pet won't eat the new food at all?
